Information collection
Banking Explained does not currently operate newsletter sign-ups, payment forms, user accounts or on-site contact forms. The hosting provider may process basic technical information—such as an IP address, device information and security logs—to deliver, protect and operate the site.
Analytics and advertising
Banking Explained does not currently use its own advertising trackers, serve targeted advertising or sell personal information. If those practices change, this policy will be updated before the new feature is made available.
External links
The site links to regulators, financial institutions, standards bodies, LinkedIn and other external sources. Those services have their own privacy practices and policies.
Market data choice
The Bank Market Monitor offers an optional TradingView widget. It is not loaded until a visitor selects “Load market data.” Loading it connects the visitor's browser to TradingView, which may process technical information under its own privacy practices.
Children's privacy
Banking Explained is intended for a general and professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. The site does not knowingly request personal information from children.
Privacy questions
Privacy questions or requests can be submitted through the Contact & Corrections page. Do not send account numbers, passwords, customer information or other confidential financial information through LinkedIn or another external service.
Future changes
This policy will be reviewed before newsletter, analytics, account or other data-collecting features are introduced. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
